A view from Pendleton Oregon, Project Vahana at A³ (A cubed) by Airbus has produced the AlphaOne, an all-electric VTOL self-piloted passenger aircraft. It uses the six rotor design gives the craft a vertical take off like a drone, at that time the rotors rotate and give the craft a forward directional lift generating propulsion using the wings holding the propellers. It is capable of detecting objects and other craft and equipped with an accompanying collision avoidance system.

This flight below was the first self-piloted flight from the full scale AlphaOne which lasted for one minute and used aproximately 8% of the battery capacity.
